Gliffy Has Moved to the Atlassian Marketplace

Since Gliffy Confluence Plugin v5.4, Gliffy is now an Atlassian Marketplace Paid Add-on!

What this means is that you can manage your licenses and renewals along with your other Atlassian licenses in http://my.atlassian.com.

Quick Migration Guide

  1. Upgrade to Gliffy 5.4 or better using the Atlassian's Universal Plugin Manager. (Click 'Paid Update')
  2. Log into https://my.atlassian.com/ and locate you Gliffy license. Click Upgrade or Renew as needed

Detailed Migration Guide

We're happy to help! Please don't hesitate to email support@gliffy.com if you'd like help with license migration.

License Migration

We have finished migrating all existing Gliffy customer licenses into my.atlassian.com.  This was done by July 5th for all customers with 25 user licenses and above.  If you don't already have a my.atlassian.com account, a new one will be created for you and a temporary password will be sent to the email address on file.  If you don't see your Gliffy license in your my.atlassian.com account, please contact sales@atlassian.com for assistance.  Please note that 10 user license keys will not be migrated and you'll need to make a new purchase from my.atlassian.com when the maintenance period expires.

Using Gliffy with a MARKETPLACE license

The easiest way to get Gliffy working is to use your Marketplace license key from your my.atlassian.com account and install it via the UPM.

If you don't see your Gliffy MARKETPLACE license in your account, please contact sales@gliffy.com.

Using Gliffy with a NON-MARKETPLACE license

To ease the transition for customers, Gliffy v5.4+ will work with your existing license without having to install a Marketplace license.  However, the following issues apply:

  • A prior version of Gliffy must be installed with a valid non-trial license
  • The Universal Plugin Manager (UPM) will report that Gliffy is UNLICENSED and will have messaging that instructs you to generate a trial license or to purchase

With that in mind, you can upgrade the plugin via the Universal Plugin Manager (UPM) under Manage Add-ons.

Once Gliffy v5.4 has downloaded successfully you may result in a dialog that asks for you to generate a trial license.  You can safely dismiss this dialog by clicking the "x" in the upper right corner and Gliffy will use your current NON-MARKETPLACE license .

Please note that the UPM will report that Gliffy is UNLICENSED as the Atlassian licensing API does not allow us to indicate that the add-on is currently licensed using third-party licensing.

The plugin should work as expected and you can check the status of your NON-MARKETPLACE license by clicking on the new menu item in the sidebar:

The license screen should appear similar to the screenshot below:

Gliffy is in TRIAL mode even though we had a valid license installed

If after upgrading and you see Gliffy is in trial mode, you can remove the Marketplace license (by clearing the license field and clicking submit) and Gliffy will read the NON-MARKETPLACE Gliffy license.

If you need to re-install Gliffy and ONLY have access to your old legacy license, please install Gliffy v5.3.2 here, apply your NON-MARKETPLACE license, and then upgrade to Gliffy v5.4+ using the steps previously outlined.

Gliffy is UNLICENSED even though we were in TRIAL

After upgrading to Gliffy v5.4+ you'll need to generate a new TRIAL license key from the UPM as the previous Gliffy TRIAL license is no longer valid.

If you're having any other issues please create a support ticket here.
